W5 Solutions is now looking for a Production Engineer who wants to help develop production in a company where continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical development are a natural part of everyday life.

Your future challenge

As a Production Engineer, you will be a key link between design and production. You will work closely with the operations to develop, implement, and optimize production processes, create efficient working methods, and ensure that new products can be introduced smoothly and with guaranteed quality.

The role involves close collaboration with production, design, quality, and purchasing to jointly develop efficient and sustainable manufacturing solutions. You will analyze production flows, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive development initiatives that strengthen quality, efficiency, working environment, and delivery capability. At the same time, you will support production with technical issues and contribute to creating standardized working methods that work both today and in the future.

Your workdays will alternate between analysis, improvement work, and practical work close to the production floor. One day you might work on process development or capacity analysis, and the next day you might drive an improvement project, create work instructions, follow up on production data, or participate in the introduction of a new product into production.

Examples of tasks

• Develop, implement, and optimize production processes to increase quality, efficiency, and delivery capability.
• Drive improvement work according to Lean principles and other established methods.
• Participate in the introduction of new products and product changes into production.
• Create and develop work instructions, standards, and process documentation.
• Perform time studies, capacity analyses, and production balancing.
• Support production with technical questions and deviations.
• Participate in root cause analysis and quality improvement work.
• Contribute to investments in production equipment and production aids.
• Ensure that production processes meet requirements regarding quality, environment, and working environment.
• Follow up on production data and key performance indicators, and drive improvement measures.
• Collaborate closely with design, production, quality, and purchasing to develop the business.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who have an interest in technology and are motivated by developing processes, solving problems, and creating improvements. We would like you to have:

• Post-secondary education in production technology, mechanical engineering, industrial economics, or equivalent.
• Experience of production or manufacturing in the electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields within the manufacturing industry.
• Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, or process development.
• Knowledge of production processes and manufacturing methods.
• Experience with business systems and production-related IT systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Experience from the defense industry or other technically advanced manufacturing is an advantage.
